The Department of French Language and Literature has 5 full-time teachers and a French lecturer, specialists in French literature, Francophone and Hispanic literatures, French linguistics and didactics, as well as in theatre studies.
Following the ARACIS visit in 2018, the French language and literature program was reaccredited.

The French language lecturer of the University of Oradea, which operates within our department, was established in 2019, with the support of the University Agency of Francophonie (AUF) and the French Institute (IF), which continue to support the lecturer by co-financing the position of French language lecturer.
