GROUP 2. Literature and identities; cultural studies, tradition and Romanian modernity in a universal context.

The group is formed by members of the three departments of the faculty and aims at interdisciplinary research applied to prose and film/screen adaptations.

The research directions of the group are:

A. Openings of the epic universe. Imaginary worlds, possible worlds and real worlds in Romanian literature

B. Cultural identities and globalization. Contemporary theories and concepts of identity from a literary and cultural-anthropological perspective (resonance, fluid and other constructions of gender identity, identity chronotopes. legitimation strategies, etc.)

C. Tradition and modernity in European literatures and cultures

D. Fictional discourse and language. Narratological and stylistic synchronies and diachronies
