Confluențe. Annals of the University of Oradea. Modern Literature Fascicle is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and to preventing any form of malpractice. Our policies follow international best practices, including the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
EDITOR’S DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Publication Decisions
The Editor-in-Chief has final responsibility for selecting articles for publication, based on the recommendations of independent peer reviewers at the end of the double-blind peer review process. In making decisions, the Editor-in-Chief may consult other members of the editorial team.
All submissions are evaluated exclusively on academic merit, relevance to the journal’s scope, and compliance with legal requirements (e.g., regarding libel, copyright, and plagiarism). The decision to publish is made without regard to the author’s age, career stage, race, gender, sexual orientation, religious or political beliefs, ethnicity, nationality, or citizenship.
Conflict of Interest
Editors must disclose any conflict of interest (personal, commercial, financial, intellectual, professional, political, or religious) and recuse themselves from handling affected manuscripts.
Confidentiality
The editorial team treats all submitted manuscripts as confidential documents. Information about a submission will be shared only with those directly involved in the peer review and publication process.
Since Confluențe uses a double-blind peer review system:
-
The identities of authors are not disclosed to reviewers.
-
The identities of reviewers are not disclosed to authors or third parties.
With the reviewer’s consent, their name may be published in an annual reviewer acknowledgement list, which does not associate reviewers with specific manuscripts or issues.
Editors and staff must not use information from unpublished manuscripts for their own research or gain, or for the benefit of others, without the author’s explicit written consent.
Prevention and Response to Plagiarism and Other Misconduct
Confluente actively works to prevent and address plagiarism, data fabrication or falsification, and other forms of misconduct.
-
If plagiarism or misconduct is identified during review, the manuscript will be rejected. The author’s institution may be notified, and, where appropriate, the academic community informed.
-
If misconduct is detected after publication, the journal will investigate thoroughly and may retract or correct the article, notify the author’s institution, inform relevant databases, and publish an official statement.

- AUTHOR’S DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Originality and Research Integrity
- Authors must submit original work that reflects their own research. Manuscripts should present accurate, objective results and must not contain libellous, discriminatory, illegal, or confidential content. All sources must be appropriately cited.
- Authors are responsible for ensuring their work complies with the journal’s submission guidelines.
- Authorship
- Authorship should be limited to those who have made a substantial contribution to:
-
the conception, design, or research underlying the manuscript;
-
drafting, writing, or critical revision of the content;
-
approval of the final version and agreement to take responsibility for all aspects of the work.
- Other contributors should be named in the Acknowledgements section.
“Ghost,” “gift,” or “guest” authorship is unacceptable. - Authorship disputes are the responsibility of the authors to resolve. The editorial team will not mediate but must be informed of any necessary post-publication corrections.
- Copyright
- Authors must obtain permission to use copyrighted material in their submissions and provide evidence upon request.
- Multiple, Redundant, or Parallel Publication
- Simultaneous submission of the same manuscript to multiple journals is not allowed. Republishing the same research elsewhere is unethical.

- Authors must disclose any related works (conference papers, preprints, etc.) at the time of submission.
- Errors in Published Works
- If a significant error is identified in a published article, authors should notify the journal promptly so that a correction or retraction can be issued as appropriate.
