Confluențe. Annals of the University of Oradea. Modern Literature Fascicle applies a rigorous double-blind peer review system, ensuring that both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the evaluation process. The journal is committed to upholding the highest academic standards; the quality, originality, and scholarly significance of each submission are the sole criteria guiding selection for publication.
Editorial Screening
All submissions undergo an initial review by the editorial team to assess their relevance to the theme or focus of the specific issue and their alignment with the journal’s aims and scope. Manuscripts that meet these requirements are sent for double-blind peer review.
Double-Blind Peer Review Process
Each submission is reviewed anonymously by two independent experts, selected according to their academic expertise and the subject area of the article. Reviewers are primarily drawn from the journal’s Advisory Board and may include external specialists when appropriate.
Our reviewers provide:

Detailed written feedback, offering constructive suggestions, critical observations, and positive assessments;

A standard review form, evaluating aspects such as:

clarity and appropriateness of the title;

relevance and accuracy of the abstract;

strength and coherence of the introduction and thesis;

appropriateness and depth of the theoretical framework;

originality and contribution to the field;

coherence of conclusions and implications;

quality and relevance of references;

stylistic and grammatical accuracy.

Reviewers provide one of the following recommendations:

acceptance in the current form;

acceptance with minor, moderate, or major revisions (related to form, style, or content);

In cases where reviewers' recommendations diverge significantly, a third reviewer is consulted to assist in the final editorial decision.

Our journal collaborates with peer reviewers affiliated with institutions in Romania and internationally. Reviewers are selected to ensure a diversity of scholarly perspectives, supporting the journal’s aim to foster global academic dialogue.

Process Administration
The peer review process is administered by the review editors, who oversee all stages of the evaluation, ensuring transparency and impartiality. Authors do not know the identity of their individual reviewers.
