The research field is that of the humanities in interdisciplinarity with cultural and anthropological studies. The research aims to explore new forms of manifestation of known cultural models - as they are found in literature as an act of culture or industry, theater, film and the dynamics of language in a globalized intercultural space, in the context of overcoming national borders and concepts, which until recently defined cultural entities and identities.
The research areas aim to study and evaluate important moments and themes in Romanian culture and its relationship with the European cultural space. In parallel, we circumscribe an area of research that covers, on the one hand, the cultures and literatures of the English, French and German spaces of expression, and on the other hand, their confluences with the Romanian cultural spaces of expression.
The main mission of the Center for Research on National Cultural Changes in the Context of Globalization is scientific research (both the fundamental and the applied side) in the field of Romanian culture and literature and of universal and comparative literature.
The Research Center for National Cultural Changes in the Context of Globalization has the following objectives:
studying current trends in Romanian literature and culture and their relationship with extraliterary elements and pressures, in order to defend and highlight the heritage of values.
studying the effects of cultural globalization in English, French, German-speaking areas (colonialism, postcolonialism, hybridization of cultural phenomena in literature, language, film, book industry) and comparing them with Romanian literature;
promoting a dialogue with the public and civil society, in order to see how literature can contribute to increasing the quality of life, in the conditions in which it makes globalization an ally and not an enemy;
channeling philological research within the University of Oradea on current and future directions in the literary and cultural scene;
promoting philological research and specialists in literature (criticism and literary history), in academic, theoretical and applied directions;
