Certificates of linguistic competences

The Faculty of Letters issues certificates of linguistic competence for Romanian, English, French and German. These certificates are issued with the approval of the Ministry of National Education in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Modern Languages of the European Union and certify communication skills levels from A1 to C2.

The certificates are recognized by public institutions and national and international companies. The certificates can be used for employment, admission to a doctoral program or for obtaining scholarships for international academic exchanges. The certificates are valid for 2 years.

Candidates are tested for their ability to understand spoken and written language, as well as their ability to express themselves verbally and in writing. Test models: Romanian, English, German, French.

The certificate of linguistic competence is obtained as follows:

1. An examination request is sent to the Faculty of Letters at: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.;

2. The examination fee is paid at the university's central cashier's office (TAXE Office) or by bank transfer;

3. A written and oral language test is taken, as scheduled.

4. The certificates are collected personally by the beneficiary based on the identity document and signature from the secretariat of the Faculty of Letters (office C010b).

For online tests, candidates will provide the secretariat with all the information requested before the examination, and on the day/time of the examination they will wait to be contacted by the host of the online session.
